Hey everyone!  I’m soaking in this summer weather that’s finally arrived, and will probably disappear just as quickly :(  So, I broke out my favorite printed shorts from Zara’s spring/summer sale and paired them with these fun tangerine sandals.  To complement the pop of retro orange,  I added these violet aviators since I kept my bag simple.  Generally this is how I wear color; little punches here and there.  I find that my wardrobe stretches further when I buy a lot of neutrals and then add color through accessories.  This allows me to wear pieces more frequently as well as all year long – styling them in various ways.

Thank you so much for stopping by :)

Happy Wednesday!  Today’s look is a versatile style for the summer.  A simple crop top and a flowy midi skirt can be worn for multiple occasions:  a lunch date, a picnic, an outdoor party or barbecue, or even for running errands on the weekends.  If you want to switch up your casual wear for something a bit more fun and feminine, this skirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe.  You’ll find it in more colors here, as well!  To finish the look, I added these beautiful embellished sandals; I like how they dress up the look but are comfortable enough to walk around in all day :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone!  Today I’m pairing a wardrobe staple with a classic print.  Chambray is so versatile, and a perfect neutral that can be worn Spring – Fall.  It can also be dressed up as well as worn more casually.  A chambray shirt looks great paired with a solid or printed maxi skirt, or a pair of chino shorts and converse sneakers or flat sandals.  There are seriously endless possibilities, and I’ll try to style a few in future posts.  Today I styled my chambray shirt business casual, with a summery striped skirt and metallic flats.  I added a fun statement necklace for a bit of glam, and a bold lip to stand out against the subtle color palette of my outfit.  How do you like to style your chambray?  I’m always looking for more ways to wear mine :)

No, it’s not a typo.  I meant to title this post LWL.  My initial thought was to title the post LWD (little white dress); however, after looking through all of the photos, I decided LWL (little white legs) would be more appropriate.  I’m pretty sure my ghostly white legs are glowing so bright that they stand out more than the dress.  And my sincerest apologies.  Luckily I’ve gotten a little color since these pictures were taken! Anyway, about this dress:  I love collecting various styles of  little white dresses for multiple summer occasions.  From work, to a picnic, to a lunch or dinner date, I like to have a few options.  Since I also kept my accessories simple and white, I decided to add a pop of color with this beautiful fuchsia cardigan — which has become one of my favorites — and these fun violet aviators.  I think what I love most about this cardigan is that fact that it’s long-sleeved.  If I’m looking to add a layer for warmth, I really prefer to have something with a full sleeve rather than a 3/4 sleeve.  Unfortunately, I find that these are hard to come by, especially in fun colors.  Bonus?  This one is on major sale right now!

Thank you for stopping by :)
