Today’s look is my “southern charm” look.  I had to add a pop of color and some sparkle :)  I love this crochet black dress because it’s another really versatile piece.  I’ve worn it casually with sandals, to work with simple black pumps and a white blazer, and with a colorful cardigan and metallic flats for this current look – which I wore in downtown Greenville for another night out to dinner.  We went to Stellar Wine Bar & Restaurant, and both the wine and the food was delicious. It’s definitely another great place I’d recommend if you’re ever in the area.  They also offer small plates if you’re more in the mood for some good wine and just a light dinner.

Happy Wednesday!  Today’s look is a versatile style for the summer.  A simple crop top and a flowy midi skirt can be worn for multiple occasions:  a lunch date, a picnic, an outdoor party or barbecue, or even for running errands on the weekends.  If you want to switch up your casual wear for something a bit more fun and feminine, this skirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe.  You’ll find it in more colors here, as well!  To finish the look, I added these beautiful embellished sandals; I like how they dress up the look but are comfortable enough to walk around in all day :)

For today’s look, I styled an outfit that could easily be transitioned from your 9-to-5, daytime look, to a more dressed up look for dinner and/or drinks after work.  A black cardigan or blazer is a staple for your wardrobe, and its the perfect layer to wear during the day to keep your look more professional.  A quick removal of this extra layer is a really easy way to transition your daytime look into an after-work look.  Another easy way to go from day-to-night is to swap out your work-appropriate shoes for a pair of fun heeled sandals!  Also, wearing a full skirt on a day when you have plans after work is a great option since it’s more comfortable than, say, a tailored pencil skirt.  I love this fun striped style, and it’s on sale for 50% off right now at LOFT with code FIFTY!
