I’m with Cupid.  I love seeing people in love.  I love seeing people celebrating being in love. Basically, I love love…everything about it. Hey everyone!  I know it’s Tuesday but since I didn’t write a post yesterday I just wanted to say I hope you all had a great weekend!  I cannot believe we’re just two days from Christmas.  And I’m so sad that now most of our snow has melted.  I always welcome a fresh blanket of snow just before the holidays.  I love how it glistens in the sun….if only we had some sun.  Well, despite the lack of this fluffy white covering we love so much, I’m still going to put on my best all ivory outfit even though I don’t have a backdrop to match.  When I spotted this heavy knit sweater with the perfect print and hint of sparkle, I knew it would be perfect for upcoming holiday festivities.  Cozy yet chic, this sweater has endless possibilities :)

Oh hey guys, I’m alive.  I recently moved and therefore have been buried under boxes, but I’ve finally managed to surface.  I promised you all some holiday looks, so that’s my goal with the next few posts.  I came across these really fun yet chic velvet sequin shorts and knew I had to create a look with them.  Because these shorts will yell out, “I’ve arrived!  Where’s the wine?!” I wanted to keep the rest of the look simple and sophisticated.  Therefore, I’ve paired them with a simple black cami and a well-fitted satin peplum blazer.  You can do no wrong with a black and white look around the holidays, adding pops of red here and there.  With this look, I incorporated color through a glossy lip.  I added simple black leather pumps (patent leather would also look super cute), and crystal earrings to create some balance with the shorts.  I didn’t want to overdo it with the sparkle, which is why I chose studs rather than large statement earrings.  I also think when you do a red lip, you don’t want too much else going on around your face.  I then added a beaded black clutch to finish out the look.

Today I’m sharing with you my favorite maxi dress this summer!  Although it’s not brightly colored, it’s so easy to dress up with pops of color.  The fabric is the perfect weight — not sheer but also not too heavy, and falls beautifully!  You can easily wear this dress with simple sandals, delicate jewelry, and a sun hat for a more relaxed, daytime look; or, add a pair of embellished sandals or heeled sandals, and bold jewelry for a nighttime look.  Versatile pieces are key for any season!
